Canonical Group Limited recently created a Windows App for running Ubuntu commands in Windows 10. The app is named Ubuntu and is available freely in Windows Store for PC use.

It allows user to use Ubuntu Terminal and run Ubuntu command line utilities including bash, ssh, git, apt and many more. To use this feature, the user need to use “Turn Windows features on or off” and select “Windows Subsystem for Linux”, click OK, reboot and use this app.

After this, simply use the Ubuntu command in cmd.exe or launch Ubuntu from start menu. The only recommended thing is that it needs a Windows version of 16190.0 and higher. For the Windows user wishing to try Ubuntu, this Windows App is a must.
